I'm a hugger
I would open my arms and some would kinda sorta lean in, some would full-body hug and others would put up their hand for a high five to lemme know, "NAH" that wasn't happening.
I was reminded last night in a season of COVID how much I miss the full wrap yourself up in people hugs. Holding on tight, pulling I close, and being one for a moment. This morning, my devotion was about how studies have shown hugging actually makes you both happier (duh!) and healthier.
And I wondered, have any of those "experts" in our world done a study on how much better our country would be if we removed the masks to SEE SMILES and just hugged more? I mean I realize we're in a pandemic, but come'on! Nothing else has worked why not give this a whirl? I mean (thank you, Jesus!) I haven't been sick in years and I can assure you this, the pandemic has not limited my ability to get my daily hugs in... with caution, I'll add, but I get'em!
I'm going to encourage you, from a place of a researcher's heart ~ to see what happens when you give, or receive more hugs and lemme know how it goes for you. <3
